3. How We Use Data
We use collected data exclusively for the following purposes:

4. Data Retention
- Authorization data is stored in an encrypted JWT token in your browser's local storage and is valid for 30 days. We do not maintain a separate user account database
- Comments are stored in the database until they are deleted by the author (upon request) or by a moderator
- Racket measurement data (submissions), once approved by a moderator, is stored indefinitely as part of the public database
- Google Analytics data is retained in accordance with Google's retention policy (14 months by default)
5. Third-Party Data Sharing
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Google OAuth — user authorization (shared: Google profile data)
- Google Analytics — traffic analytics (shared: anonymized visit data)
- Google Translate API — comment translation upon user request (shared: comment text)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
We may disclose your data only in cases required by law: upon request from courts, law enforcement, or other authorized government agencies.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
6.1. Cookies
We do not set our own cookies. However, Google Analytics uses the following cookies for analytics purposes:
- _ga — unique visitor identification (retention: 2 years)
- _ga_* — session state persistence (retention: 2 years)
You can disable cookies in your browser settings or use extensions to block analytics (e.g., Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on).
6.2. Local Storage (localStorage)
We use browser local storage (localStorage) for:
- Storing the authorization token (JWT) — to maintain your session
- Racket comparison list
- Like indicators — for correct interface display
localStorage data is stored only in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear localStorage in your browser settings at any time.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect your data:
- All connections to the website are secured with HTTPS (TLS encryption)
- User content undergoes mandatory sanitization to protect against malicious code (XSS)
- All database queries are parameterized to protect against SQL injection
- Authorization tokens have limited validity periods and are signed with a cryptographic key
- Administrative access is protected by a separate authorization system
That said, no method of data transmission over the internet is absolutely secure. We cannot guarantee complete data security but make every reasonable effort to protect it.
